Contribution of the WISDOM Project to the International Workshop "People Centred Approach in Flood and Land Management in the Mekong Basin"

The conference, which was organized by the Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS), the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), GFA Consulting Group and GIZ took place in Luang Prabang, Laos from the 23-25th of February 2011. The focus of the conference was to exchange experiences, lessons learnt, identifying emerging trends and methodologies towards a sustainable implementation of flood and land management as well mitigation measures. The WISDOM project contributed by giving an overview of the overall objectives, methods and intermediate results of the project with an special focus on Water, Risks, Transformation and Adaptation in the Mekong Delta. About 150 guests from various organisations and countries participated in this event.
