WP 3000 System Design

The Tasks 3200, 3300 and 3400 will be established following standard procedures and components of software engineering. These work packages are coordinated by Task 3100 managing the interactions between German and Vietnamese partners as well as external companies. Thus the Task 3100 also supports coordination and communication of consulting and participating project partners facilitating the general project management of Task 1000.

Software engineering procedures consist of different stages of development:

• Collection of user and system requirements and their analysis (Task 3220)
• Conceptual and technical specifications (Task 3240, 3250, 3260, 3300)
• Analysis of specifications (Task 3210)
• System Design (Task 3220, 3300)
• Prototypical implementation (Task 3430)
• Integration of the system (Task 3410, 3420, 3440)
• Deployment of the prototype (Task 3450)

The aim of system development is the implementation of several prototypes. Based on Vietnamese and German user requirements, work package 3000 aims at the development and implementation of prototype information systems in the framework of the project. During a multi-stage developing process evaluation of current prototypes is provided in order to progressively enhance functionality of consecutive systems. Therefore two prototype systems will be developed and deployed at Vietnamese partner institutions thus allowing for thorough system testing and for the implementation and integration of innovations according to altered user requirements.
